1. Why did you start this Blog?
Well I started this blog because I really like talking about books and I wanted a place to have a discourse with other avid readers. I want to gush with others over our favorites, discuss reviews, and try cool bookish questionnaires.
2. What are some fun/new things you’re gonna bring to the community?
Well I watch a fair amount of BookTube videos and I really like all the book tag videos they do and I’m not seeing much of the recreated on this platform so this tag right here is where I start!
3. What are you most excited about for this blog?
I’m really excited (and hopeful) that I will start to build a network of people who are also excited to talk about books. My other half isn’t much of a reader so I’m really looking to find people with similar reading tastes to gush with!
4. Why do you love reading?
I love reading I think mostly as an escape. I think it’s just such a great form of entertainment that also stretches and strengthens your mind. Reading literally makes you smarter, but it also flexes imagination and creativity. It’s also just really fun!
5. What book/book series got you into reading?
It might be a cliche but the real answer is Harry Potter. I know that is common with my generation, but I grew up with Harry, Ron and Hermione and that whole universe just really opened me up to how trans-formative reading can be.
6. What questions would you ask your favorite Book Blogger?
Show me your ways? and Will you be my friend? lol
7. What challenge about having a book blog do you think will be the hardest to overcome?
100% not having time to make content. This is like my third try at making a book blog and now that I’m in my Master program my time for anything else is basically non-existent. But I hope to make more of an effort this year to stay active on here.
8. When did you start reading?
Oh gosh, I’m not sure. I remember starting Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets with my mom around 7 years old but I got scared. I maybe picked it back up again around 9. But even when I was a baby my mom and I used to read Dr. Seuss books at bedtime so i guess really I’ve always been a reader.
9. What are your favorite places to read?
I always read wherever I am. But my favorite places are the couch, the bed, the floor. Basically anywhere that i can stretch out and change positions easily.
10. What kind of books do you like to read?
Mostly Fantasy. That could be YA or Adult. But I really read just about anything I think is interesting.
